The AquaLifeNet community fish farming solution is designed to increase the income of farmers by upgrading to intensive fish farming. It uses the latest technology in biological filtration and aquaculture to assist farmers in producing more fish in less time, using fewer resources and less land. The AquaIifeNet model is simple, flexible and sustainable, ensuring long-term impact. It can be tailored to match any country’s strategic and developmental framework.
Our solution is an integrated industrial set up with sheltered free-standing fish ponds, with an efficient Mini R.A.S biofiltration system servicing multiple fish ponds. Such community fish farms can be built in locations where aquaculture had never been considered feasible due to shortage of space or water resources, and supported by a central farm hub with hatchery and nursery. The central farm supplies fingerlings, professional and technical support, and creates synergy for the farmers toward local and distant markets and the suppliers. This network of farms can function as a combined cooperative venture, enabling economies of scale such as combined transportation of fish product to market.
AquaLifeNet provides all the necessary elements to facilitate aquaculture networks in rural communities around the world:
